Gulal Khana looks like someone gathered a handful of Holi colours and arranged them in neat little boxes. Squares of orange, rani pink and magenta sit side by side, outlined with fine gold lines that sparkle in the light. Her border carries a woven gold pattern, and orange and magenta tassels bounce along the edge.

She's loud in the best way: all colour, all joy, all celebration. Yet she's made of soft mul cotton, so she's as easy to wear through a long festive day as she is fun to look at.
